Over 41,000 students from 550 schools worldwide took part in this year’s Biology Challenge. Of this, more than 1,200 students achieved a Gold, Silver or Bronze award.
The competition is aimed at participants aged 13 – 15 years old and consists of two 25-minute multiple-choice papers.
The Biology Challenge stimulates curiosity for the natural world and encourages students to take an interest in biology outside of school.
Questions are set on the school curriculum, but the competition will also rewards students whose knowledge of the subject has been increased by reading books and magazines, watching natural history programmes, and taking notice of the news media for items of biological interest.
Full results are now available on the competition website.
