United Kingdom Biology Competitions is a registered charity that inspires and encourages biology education. We currently provide three annual exams for schools, which are free to UK schools. Join over 1,000 other schools and 75,000 students!
- Biology Challenge – a competition for 13-15 year olds – questions include topics covered in school, problem-solving and general knowledge of natural history. 60% of students are awarded certificates.
- Intermediate Biology Olympiad – for first year of post-16 education – advanced biological problem solving rewarded with a prestigious certificate for higher education applications. Winners also can ballot to attend a free FSC field course.
- British Biology Olympiad – for those in post-16 education – stretching biological questions giving students access to a breadth of beyond A-level topics. Gold-medaling students can be selected to take part in the International Olympiad with >70 countries. Recommended by the University of Cambridge.
